This paddling adventure on Stevens Creeks slices through deep woodlands and offers some good scenery. The Sumter National Forest lines both banks for most of this trip. The hardwood forest is sprinkled with large baldcypress and cypress knees; there are also a number of beautiful wildflowers. Wild life that may be seen include deer and turkey in addition to birds such as kingfishers and pileated woodpeckers.
